i have a 18 inch mid length ar 15 1 in 8 twist 223 wylde. i'm using once fired lc brass. not looking for load data, i have virtually all the load manuals, rather i'd like to know if anyone has loaded Wideners 75 gr bthp with the two powders in the title. i'm looking for velocity and accuracy. i have both powders and would like to know if one is prefered. temp sensitivity if you know it. i did a search in reloading here. i've been reloading for 40 years though not for 223

If you've got both, load 'em both. It's the best way to find out what works best in YOUR gun. Load 5-10 rounds at different load amounts for each powder. Good excuse to go to the range and compare!

^^^^. Like JamieC said. Both are supposed to be temp sensitive to a point and both are said to have lead in them to help with copper fouling.

I am going to start loading for my ARs. I'm going to start with Varget or 8208 XBR as I have quite a bit of both on hand. TAC works great in my bolt rifle. Haven't tried CFE in that yet.
