Last month I was shooting long range from my vehicle and handloading in my vehicle. I just made up some starting points for CFE223 and worked up loads with:
a) 260 small primer 120 gr
b) 7mmRM 140 gr
c) 257 Roberts Ackley 110 gr.
The groups were small at 100 yards.
The velocities were erratic and low.
The CCI450 could only set off 40 gr of powder, any more and I got misfires.
All three barrels were new Shilen stainless.
The CFE223 was great for breaking them in.
After some experimentation with cleaning products, I was only using the KG1, KG12, Kroil, Flitz, and Brownell's moly paste.
I will probably buy some more new stainless select match barrels in 2013 and I will be breaking them in and sighting them in with CFE223.
For actual hunting I used H4350.
