I got my Champion Bi-pod today. I got the 6"-9" pivot, traverse model. I started to order a Harris but to get the same features it was going to cost me over $200 and it would have been a conglomeration of 3 different parts. I thought I'd take a chance on the Champion because I've seen lots of good reviews of it plus the features. Being able to traverse is great for varmint hunting. If I just intended to shoot from the bench a Harris would have been OK. But as it is I'm very happy with the quality of the bi-pod. Maybe I'm wrong but it doesn't look less solid than a Harris and again the features are much better. One lever (included) to release the pivot and the traverse is just great.

Shouldn't this be in the accessorie category?

Possibly. Are you trying out for moderator? I'm sure they'll move it if they think it's warranted. No big deal.

Yep

Sure am. This was my audition. Sorry to make the suggestion. Just trying to save you from a moderator quick kick to the nards

I have a few bipods - I was surprised by the quality of the bipod that came with my Ruger Charger. From what I have been able to determine it was manufactured by Shooters Ridge. With that one and my two Harris bipods side by side, it's hard to tell which ones are the "real" Harris products.

A few years ago I purchased a "knockoff" brand bipod. Its been long enough that I can't remember the brand and don't want to guess so not to lead people astray. But it was significantly cheaper than a Harris.

Its not only hard to tell it apart from the Harris, its impossible. Like they were made in the same factory and packaged differently.
