When I switched to a lighter recoil spring (18lb) do I need to change the firing pin spring that is also provided in the kit or are they all just "standard"???
 
The "Wolff packs" I've used package an extra power firing pin spring regardless of the weight of the recoil spring, on the grounds that the two springs will wear out at about the same rate. Do you have to change this spring? Not necessarily. It can't hurt, however, and on guns without firing pin blocks a strong FP spring can help ensure against an impact discharge.
