I've got a Hakko Panorama MK-III that (I'm presuming) has a weak battery, since I can't see the laser projected on the glass when I'm outside. (Can anybody confirm for me that I SHOULD be able to see the red dot even when I'm outside?

Because this unit does not belong to me, I do not want to remove any more screws without knowing for sure that it will take me to the battery-- I already took the screws off of the laser reflection protection cover (the square panel on the top back of the unit), and discovered no battery.

Does anybody know where I can find a manual for this thing? Barring that, can someone tell me exactly how to change the battery on this thing?

Thanks!

found it

Ok, feeling rather silly now. If anybody else happens to have the same problem I did, there is a cover on top of the intensity dial. You have to hold the intensity dial (with the numbers) still while unscrewing the top cover (the part with the very tiny ridges). Inside is the battery.

The battery is a CR2032, 3 volt battery.
