Ive been carrying a 9mm PPS, the cadillac of slim, every day for a little over a year, in an MTAC. Nice slim package thats really easy to carry. I only use a T-shirt to cover it.
I recently wanted to upgrade my firepower, while trying to keep all the "slimness" i possibly could. I looked at pics online of the MTAC and the CBST. The CBST looked slimmer, so i decided on a G23 (still trying to find one) with the CBST.
The CBST came in the mail today. Time to use the new digital calipers ...
MTAC minitaur for PPS width = 1.28"
CBST for G23/G17/G19/G23/G22/G31/G32/G34/G35 = 1.31"
I dont have the glock yet, but I'm really happy with these numbers. Width, by far being the most important factor for ccw IMO, has only changed ever so slightly as you can see. Plus the CBST feels like it holds closer to body, clips are better. And I am going from 8 rounds of 9mm on tap, to 14 rounds of .40 S&W. Also, the glock only weighs 1oz more. A really good trade off as far as I can tell so far.
Opinions?
