My Glock G33 has the OEM plastic sights. I have obtained a pair of iron Trijicon sights that I want to install. A couple of questions: 1. Is the front sight threaded? If so should Lock Tight be used to install the iron front sight?
2. How difficult is it to remove and replace the rear sight? Can it be done without a sight pusher?
Any suggestions on how to get the job done will be most appreciated.

non permanent loc-tight or a drop of 3 in 1 oil on the front sight threads is a good idea. you can install the rear sight with a nylon or brass drift punch , but if you get carried away and hit too hard you can damage the rears sight ampules and they won't be covered under warrenty. a sight pusher is best . if you use a drift punch just take it easy with the hammer blows ,hit just hard enoupgh to move the rear sight a little at a time. i have installed them with and without a sight pusher.

A sight pusher is best, but the rear sight can be installed as sam3 described. The original front sight is inserted through a hole in the slide with a plastic pin pushed in from the bottom to spread the legs and hold it in place. You won't get it out without ruining the old sight. You can use a punch to drive it out from the bottom of the slide. I haven't used Trijicon specifically, but all the replacement Glock sights I have seen have a small screw to hold the metal sight in place. A bit of locktite would be a good idea.
