What are you looking to find out? I just got a CDD-15 M4 awhile back and its been great, shoots whatever I put in it and I made a good reload that it likes also. Been using standard 30 mags from the army in it, no misfeeds, no eject trouble. Zeroed in using the army targets for 300 meter zero as I,m still a soldier, shoot milk jugs at 200 meters with no problem. Go to Charles Daly website to learn more, they also have a FORUM you can join and ask all the questions you like. I like mine, very solid and dependable. Hope this helps. They have alot of good features built into it that are mil-standard.

Thanks shuvelrider:
Not looking for anything in particular, mainly a hands on experience with positive results. Yeah, I've heard they are very well built, and that's what got my attention, but the guys get over my head when they go to talking about the internals. About all I know is how to load and shoot. At any rate that's the gun I'm interested in. Will check with my Dealer and see what he can come up with. I ran across that Charles Daly Defense FORUM this a.m.

Read this - http://m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=6642 - it explains in plain English how internasl differ, and why it matters. Everything on there may not apply to you. However, you'll a least know how to evaluate the rifle build quality and apply the information to your intended purpose.

I forgot to mention that website "ugaarguy", that shows some good info for future buyers. I just loaded up 150 rounds of my "recipe" for next time at the range, got my CD on a whim at my local shop. Never did any shopping around, checked it out and worked a trade instead of cash.

Thanks for the thread ugaarguy:

Tradeing is what's on my mind too. Just getting up the nerve to do it. Kinda like parting with an old friend. It took a long time to trade off a .22 I'd had since I was 15, even though it was worn out and wouldn't shoot straight. But that ar bug keeps bitting me, so I've got to get some relief.

If you're looking for a 20" A2, I can't think of a better purchase than the CD.

FWIW, they are supposed to be coming out with a 20" A4 (like a semi-only version of what the Marines use) in the next couple of months or so.

It's On It's Way! :D

Shulvelrider; the dealer I do business with couldn't find the CD's in his catalogs. He had to do some calling around to find them. I suspected as much since CD isn't that popular down here like they are in your area, and some dealers will try and discourage their customers from getting one.

Anyhow, we made the deal, so now I get to wait until it arrives. I think he's about as excited as I am.

Thanks to you too rob for your input.

CD,s are gaining a name for themselves up here also, still have to go against what dealers are used to selling, but they are building a good reputation and following. My dealer is not stuck on "his" favorite and he keeps up on the industry, when your dealer see,s the CD is a good thing for him , then he,ll stock more. Happy shooting to ya, use the CD forum if you have questions cuz the CEO will answer on the "threads".
