Just back from a gun show-poor turn out, opening day of bow season here, and Bridge Day-big tourist draw. Couldn't unload anything I took to trade.
Dealer had a NIB Charles Daly pump 12ga w/ rifle from sight. Turkish made imported by KBI, 18" 0r 20" bbl. Anybody have any experience?? Price was $200 otd!

Also looked at Bushmaster's Carbon 15!! Awesome!! Cheapest, and dealer said probably most accurate of his Bushmasters @ $775 IIRC! Whatdayathink?

No comment on the rifle, my experience with the AR system is out of touch with the modern stuff.

As for the Daley....

$200 in many parts of the US will get you a beater 870, 500 etc. These used but functional guns will last forever, have aftermarket stuff around, have resale value if you change your mind, and if something IS wrong you don't have to ship it to Izmir.

If there's ONE thing US gunmakers do well, it's making pumpguns that last forever, withstand abuse, and cost less new than a week's pay for a working person.

Heck, a new US made pumpgun can be had for less than $300. Get one, BA/UU/R and have fun.

The only reasons I have a Norinco 870 clone are the price ($140 from CDNN) and the fact that it takes all factory 870 parts that I've tried so far making it easy to work on if something breaks (hasn't happened yet). If not for the parts interchangeability then I would follow Dave's advice and buy a US-made shotgun.

Yeah, went to visit Mom today, so didn't go back to the show. I'm off tomorrow so I'll do some serious shopping. Really want an 870. Prefer a used one I can work on. They're scarce around here. Us hillbillies don't part with our shotguns, use 'em for everything! Well, almost.

Saw an old '97 with a baked on finish from Brownell's-- looked pretty good. Gotta get my catalog out!!

Thanks for the advice!
