I spotted a NEW CD High Power 9mm for $350.00.

Looks good, all parts are HP parts like the Browning. The CD folks allege it is "made in the USA"....maybe....

Anyone have experience with this HP? I have a Browning in .40 but would like a shooter in 9mm that can go for high rounds in use.

Thanks for the help.

don't know about the HP or the made in USA.their 1911 are made in phillipenes and I love mine, very accurate 100% with JHPs would not feed lead SWC.

I believe the Daly HiPowers are FEG parts assembled by KBI in Harrisburg, PA. The ones I've seen look pretty good. My old made in Hungary FEG is a good shooter although the trigger is heavy. If the Daly guns have decent triggers probably a pretty good buy.

I thought they were made by FEG in Hungary but assembled in the US. Kinda like the newer FN HPs made in Belgium but assembled in Portugal. Don't know if the assembly of the CD is hand fitting or just slapping them together here.

The parts aren't HiPower, as in made by Fabrique Nationale. They are sized the same though, so they are parts compatible.
I've handled some and own the FEG version. Browning HiPowers weren't known for perfect triggers out of the box, so that shouldn't be a huge impediment. It should wear in to something reasonable. I don't care for that honking big front sight either, though in a self defence situtation it might be nice. For seeing a target at a distance, it does tend to block out everything.
I think it is worth something closer to $300 than $350, but that is me and I have my HiPowers already.

Try before you drop the money.

I've handled two, and not that they were bad, but the triggers were grainy and heavy, and fit/finish were kind of...meh.

That said, both were accurate and reliable.

Recently purchaed one. It is accurate. Put together well and no tool marks. The finish is a little dull but consistent. The trigger is surprisingly good. Not grainy or to heavy. There is one thing. It would not feed HP's from a full mag as the bullets nose would ride to hi and jam. I need to order some other mags and I believe the problem will be solved. It only came with one mag. All in all well worth the money.

The local gunshop just got in its first Charles Daly Hi-Power, and, FWIW, this gun is impressive. It appears to be well-made. The trigger is much better than in any new FN-Browning HP I've seen in a long time, without the sticky, gritty feel of the latter. Of course, the proof is in the shooting ....

I got one back in Feb. and really like it. The trigger is a little heavy. It's got nice grips and feels great in my hand (I guess that's just the HiPower talking).I don't mind the XS sights. I took the mag disconnect out before I ever shot it. At first I had problems with the trigger reset but now that its broken in (500 rds) no problem. I paid $303.00 from Bud's Gun shop online. At first my dealer said he could get it from his distributor for $270, but the deal fell through. I also felt ok about buing it because they have a lifetime warrenty
