Anyone shot one of these yet? Saw them at the gun show for about $400. The old Charter Arms company never had a great reputation, but the .44 Bulldog was generally regarded as their best effort.

Has a clever wedge mechanism in the ejector to avoid needing moon clips. I think it would have been smarter for them to make in 10mm so one could use .40S&W in it like you can with .38 Special in a .357 mag, but this is what is out there.

I really like the Pitbull.

It's in a highly popular caliber, doesn't need moonclips, and is an affordable a revolver as a person can find.

Looking forward to one in the near future (though I do agree that it would've been cool if they offered a model in 10mm)

I wonder if they could have kept the same size frame though. S&W's 10mm 610 was an N Frame.

A Charter in 10mm is also known as a hand grenade. Don't get me wrong, I love Charters and carry one but I don't think I would want to be around one with a higher pressure round than .44 Spl.

I'm waiting for the 9mm.

I've heard it wont use the same frame as the .40

I'm wondering what frame it will use...

If I had a auto chambered in .40 S&W I'd have to have one of the CA .40 revolvers.

I'd like to find one of the new .44 special ones...all I see around my location is the .38/.357's, and the .40's.

I've got an older CA undercover .38 special in my back pocket at this moment. Nice little inexpensive revolvers.

The 610 has a quite a bit of space between chambers. That said I appreciate it's sturdy build due to the high pressure of the 10mm.

I bought a Bulldog in .44 spl. last fall, and it is quickly becoming my favorite gun. I plan to get a Pitbull as soon as I can lay my hands on one. That will compliment my SA40SC and my Kel Tec SU2000. :)

A Charter in 10mm is also known as a hand grenade.

What is your basis for this?

.40S&W is like 35000 PSI max, 10mm is 37500 max according to my reloading manuals. If less than 10% max pressure is the difference between gun and grenade where are all the +P+ 9mm KaBooms?
