Just to let any other Central Ohio mosin nagant shooters know.... Vances on Cleveland Ave. in Columbus is selling 100 rds of Bulgarian copperwashed 7.62x54 for 30.00 dollars. I'm not an expert but believe that this is a very good buy. (They have to go in the back and get it. It is a 100 rounds, no smaller quantities). They are also selling 91/30s for 69.99 and m44s for 99.00 and they look nice. I may go back on payday and get another one!

NO I don't work for them. :)

Ummm

If you mail order it, it's

$160 for 1000+~$25 shipping = $18.50 per 100
I wouldn't call $30 per hundred a deal.

The last batch of Russian stuff I bought was actually pretty high quality (surprised me).

Here's 300 rounds for $45. Good stuff. Wideners also has a couple of other good buys in x54r.

Don't shoot that stuff from Wideners in a Finn. I shot some today and had some blown primers. It is about .002" larger than the bore diameter on a Finn and will spike the pressures.

With a mosin, you should be slugging the barrel to determine bore diameter anyway. Also, pulling one bullet and measuring it isn't a bad idea either. You can always re-seat the bullet and fire it.
