I'll be driving to Las Vegas in a couple of days and I wondered if their was any info available on stores selling cheap practice ammo for 9MM. I can beat CA sales tax and shipping. Several thousand rounds might be nice to pick up since the wife also shoots 9MM now.

I haven't comparison shopped, but I buy my 9mm ammo at Wal-Mart. They have a Remington UMC "Mega Pack" containing 250 rounds of 115 grain FMJ. Of course I just got up and looked and none of them have a price tag on them but I seem to remember they were like $32.
I normally shoot one of those at a session, so I buy 4-5 at a time.
Any Wal-Mart in Las Vegas will stock that item although I did go to one store recently that was out of stock. But the next Wal-Mart isn't much of a drive if you happen to find one that doesn't have it.
You don't mention what part of town you are going to be in. Probably the cloest Wal-Mart to the strip is the one on East Tropicana just before Pecos.

Thanks 444 & mokster -- I'll be staying at THE Hotel at Mandalay Bay. It's a new place with no casino. I thought the name was a bad choice but the place should be nice. It's right next to Mandalay Bay Casino. I also plan to eat in that little Italian place where we had the THR SHOT Show dinner, great food and great prices. Is their a Dicks Sporting Goods in Vegas?
Yes, there is a Dick's Sporting Goods in the Gallaria Mall in Henderson. From your hotel you would head south to I-215 and head toward Henderson. The Gallaria Mall is way out almost clear at the end of the 215. I have never been there but it is across the street from the Sunset Station Hotel.
I am no longer up to date on what is going on with the strip but I am sure your hotel is going to be great: anything associated with the Madalay Bay is going to be five star. I used to work at the fire station just south of Mandalay Bay, but that was 3-4 years ago.
