My history of
buying ammo online is from remanufacturing companies. Two years ago I bought 1000 rounds of .45 Colt and 1000 9mm from a company called BestShotAmmo on the net. The ammo is really good but I had a problem finally sending money and not getting my stuff. Finally got a refund. They are in Connecticut. Then I ordered 1000 rounds of 38 special from National Bullet Company in Ohio. No problem and like the ammo. That was 18 months ago. But on another thread recently a member said he had bunches of trouble with them not sending product and keeping the money. He finally got his money back after reporting to the local police. Apparently NBC is sort of going to the dogs. Then recently I found Ammodirect in a suburb of Memphis. I ordered 1000 rounds of 44 Special. They called this "New Ammo" because the components are all new. They used Starline brass which I understand is a good product. Anyway, I got the product very promptly, about $275 delivered to my door 600 miles away. I can't comment on shooting experience because the new 44 Special gun is still on layaway. However, I feel confident it will be good. It was packed in 50 round tray boxes also. Nice touch instead of in bulk. The man told me that when I get it shot up to send the hulls back and they will reload them for 22 cents a piece plus shipping to my door. Do the arithmetic. Got to go. Company here at front door.
