I've got an H&K 9mm USP with polygonal rifling that I'm loading for. After reading a whole bunch of information (including a thread I started here) I've decided that the only way to go is with FMJ, not plated and not lead.

Where can I find the most inexpensive FMJ bullets for handloading plinker rounds?

I'm sorry. I should have specified that I WILL NOT do business with ebay.
I don't care if someone's giving them away, I'm not giving ebay/paypal a penny of commission.... I'll just save those pennies up and give them to the NRA.

If you like the 115 grain JHP here a good and cheap online store: http://wideners.com/itemdetail.cfm?item_id=1037&dir=278|281|304|325

They use to sell the FMJ 124gr

You might try MPS Company at (704) 847-8793. I have their price list. 9mm jacketed bullets run from $72 to $82 per thousand depending on weight/sytle and they will ship in a USPS flat rate box.

ghostholster is $10 more than powder valley on the zero bullets.

Powdervalleyinc.com has 124gr FMJ 9mm for $59/1000, ghostholster is $70. Maybe with shipping it would be near the same.

Powder valley actually has Winchester 124gr FMJ for $60.50 per 1000, which is the price I was trying to beat.

You fellas a great! You beat the price by $1.50! That's about 75 primers that I just saved.

It's sad when you think of a quarter as 12 primers rather than 25 cents.

Precision bullets looks like a good idea. Moly coated bullets!
However, you can find the same product at bear creek supply for about half the price...shipped as well if you order over $70 worth.

I've also heard that you can coat your own bullets with moly that you can buy from Midway. Not sure how well it works...

Zeros do shoot good. Powder valley charges $12 shipping on 2k 230gr 45 bullets, but I didn't ask if you could get more for the same shipping. Looks like a great place to buy.

JDGray: I live 45 minutes from Powder Valley and it's become my #1 weekend vacation spot. ;)

It's a metal building in the back 40 of some fellas ranch, and is nearly impossible to find. Mailbox has a name, and the address number...that's it. Nothing that says powder valley. I asked the fella who runs the place about how much of his building was full. (he's got a small office as soon as you come in the door with three desks, that's all the further you'll get as a customer) and he tells me "it's 3/4 full, we're busier than we thought we would be this year. 12,000 square feet" nice...very nice. I asked him if he could put in a batting cage and he said "we thought about it once, too full now." I told him I'd do whatever I could to help him get enough space for his batting cage....that's why I'm sharing this story with you guys.

I then asked him
"how can you sell this stuff cheaper than most places can stock it?"
"we buy in huge quantities, hence the big metal building. We process around 90 orders on an average day"
"Wow! how long does it take to pick an order! you guys must spend all day running in and out of your storage building!"
"pretty much."
"how much is an average order"
"no idea. Since you pay a hazmat fee on 1 primer or a million primers, most people order in enough quantity to last a while, and that saves us having to fill a billion orders a day."

Essentially, they are the busiest place that can sell to the common reloader I've heard of. They are also the cheapest I've found...it's a vicious cycle, the busier they are, the cheaper the components are because they can buy 1,000,000 Winchester primers at a deeper discount and know that they'll sell them quickly.

Do everyone a favor and at least consider them for your next purchase. Their prices are the best I've seen...probably because they have the best inventory and buying strategy I've seen too.
