Mods: Sorry if this is in the wrong category, but I thought it fit best here. Please move if you think other wise.

I found this on the NY Yankees web site. Johnny Damon has just started working with this organization. I went to their website, and it seems like they do some good things. It’s nice to see that some people are looking after our wounded, and helping them try to get back to their lives.

About the Wounded Warrior Project
The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is a not-for-profit organization aimed at assisting those men and women of the United States armed forces who have been severely injured during the war on terrorism in Iraq, Afghanistan and other hot spots around the world. Beginning at the bedside of the severely wounded, WWP provides programs and services designated to ease the burdens of these heroes and their families, aid in the recovery process and smooth the transition back to civilian life. For more information, please call (540) 342-0032 or visit www.woundedwarriorproject.org.

Check out The Fisher House (www.fisherhouse.org).
This is from their website: "Supporting America's military in their time of need, we provide "a home away from home" that enables family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful time -- during hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury."
