After actually making some old targets that I have had for over 10 yrs go BOOM, I got thinking about other targets for what the heck. On various web sites and at local gunshop I have seen the Tannerite material that produces a substantial "Boom", I got to thinking about old wore out Christmas decorations, the round ball type to be exact. I took one and after making a mess got fairly large amount of Baby /Talcum powder inside then hung it from a branch to see what it would do. Now I didn't use a real high power or even low power round to test, but used a .177 cal pellet rifle that produced a fair Poofffee, I was curious if you can break down the amount of chemicals used by the Tannerrite material to fill or at least partialy fill the Christmas balls to shoot. (oh by the way I have wanted to shoot those thing for many years, and even that little round bellied elf that always got credit for my hard work) Any thoughts??
