Chinese Military Shovel

Looks good if you get issued one by the PLA for free, but it doesn't do anything more than every other entrenching tool out there.

Cool tool, but their video techniques haven't improved much since the dubbed martial arts films of the 70s.

It is so good that it could be issued to the Jedi
as a replacement for their lightsabre.

Instruction by Darth Spader.

(running away now!)

It seems to have made an effort to incorporate functions not previously seen on folding shovels so that other common tasks can be covered, in a pinch.

Needed Billy Mays.

But, I'd by one in the 30 dollar range maybe. Not any more than that I don't think. Certainly not 70 plus shipping.

Something big and sharp swinging with force + mass produced in China = trip to the ER

Okay . . .

So, against my better judgment, I watched the vid.

Needed Billy Mays.
Or maybe the Slap-Chop feller.
Are you followin' me, camera guy?

I'm even kinda sorta impressed. What really got my attention was the chopping/slicing, what, potatoes? Dude handled it like a cleaver. Wonder if it really ships with that edge or did they spend a little time with a file and stone to get it that sharp?

Bottle opener? Can opener? Seriously?

If yer gonna do that, why not make the handle hollow and just stick a decent SAK in there? At least that way you could have nail scissors and a corkscrew, too!

Even so, I'd pay maybe $30-ish bucks for something like that.

And then I'd hire someone else to dig the hole with it.

:D

Can't a company over here copy it since they don't follow patent laws?

Wow China making something not cheap and reliable, oh the irony. Want one tho.

Make it out of American steel and I'd buy one. Hard as it is, I try not to buy too much Chinese crap.
They buy our old battle ships and melt them down. where do you think all the cash for clunkers went. Why do you think scrap prices get so high, they buying it. sad to say.

Well, that makes the $20 e-tool I keep in my trunk look very limited!!!

Don't want to spend the money on it, but I'm impressed (assuming it lives up to the hype from the commercial).

I think you are mistaking the ship breaking beaches of India and Pakistan.

China happens to be the biggest consumer of steel in the world, and not because of export manufacturing, but for internal use such as infrastructure, bridges, roads, buildings, etc.
