Chinese SKS

how much is a - what appears to me - to be super clean chinese sks with the cleaning kit in the stock, no bayonette, sling mounts on the bottom of the stock (if youre holding the gun to fire) worth? i just paid 100 bucks for it which is about what the yugo's go for at dunhams on sale, but this has like laminated (i think) wood and just looks so nice. much much nicer than the beat up looking yugos at dunhams.

ill post pics later im studying right now but i have to know if its worth it or not. all the info i find is 5 years old about prices so i figured id ask you guys. aside from the markings i believe to be normal chinese sks markings it says NA Co. Ridgefield, NJ on the side. is that just who fixed it up or what?

I'd say you got a good deal. I paid about 180 to 200 for one. I see them priced up to 250.

its from a hillbilly who said i love my 12 guage and crossbow i have no use for this thing. he paid 80 for it from an estate auction.

A local dealer has that SKS w/2 mags, cleaning kit and sling for $150. He's one of the best priced dealers around so I would say you got a great deal. This guy has AK-47's for $350 w/2 mags and sling too.

best sks ever fired by far (never tried a russian though).


quite accurate once you have the sights adjusted.
