Choice of handgun

If given the choice, which would you pick and why? Use of gun would be for personal/home defense.

Ease of use - Easy to clean; No disassembly; Grips available to custom tailor the fit to your hand if needed (not one-size fits all); Easier to load (no forcing rounds into magazines); Easier to unload

Safety - Easy to see if loaded; Easier to unload (no magazine to remove and leave chamber loaded); Don't have to pull the trigger to fieldstrip; Far less prone to operator error

Glock!!!

Larger capacity 10+1 vs 6. (Do you really want only 6 rounds when there are 7 bad guys doing a home invasion??? Yeah, it happens more times than you think!!)

Faster, less combersome reloads under pressure. (Every nation on earth uses some kind of autoloader. They started ditching revolvers in droves about the turn of the last century. Think about it. Do you want to be shot by the last one of those 7 bad guys while you are fumbling with a speed loader???)

Faster double taps!! The Glock trigger resets in about .25" of forward travel!!!!!!

I'd take the Ruger revolver over the G22, and a S&W 686 over the Ruger revolver. In addition, I prefer the 9mm G19 over the .40 cal G22.

Glocks don't fit me right, so I chose the Ruger. I'd prefer a S&W Model 28 though.

I already own the Ruger, and do own a Glock 19. So I do know the manual of arms with both. Also know the pros and cons of both. Weight of the Ruger don't bother me , as I do carry a full sized 1911. Just curious as to what everyone else would choose. I am thinking of buying a G22. Was considerring trading my KGP-141 for it. But you know, I could honestly see myself kicking myself in the rear for trading it.

I do not currently own a Glock....

and cannot be considered a great fan of them...they have many good attributes!! I have shot quite a few, including a G22 last month, and owned two G30's. The do work well and are easy to handle.
I am even less of a wheel gun fan.....I consider them mission specific...simpler to operate, a tad more reliable, but also a longer heavier trigger, less ammo, more percieved recoil and slower to reload.
The Glock can be more readily equipped with night sights and a M-3 light, which is very handy for home defense and you can drum up a high cap of two if you feel you need and your wallets are deep.
Of the two, Glock.
But I'll keep my .45 auto's, thanks!

Give me a sixgun over a Glock any day. If it were a Glock 20, I'd consider the tupperware, but only for the round it fires.

If you already own a G19, I'd say you have the best all-around Glock. Don't give up a good wheelgun, they are very good to have.
