Chokes rotate loose after 25 rounds. What to do?

We use Loctite a bunch at work. Blue Loctite on the threads of a screw can make it pretty tough to remove, and after sitting a while, it often leaves gunk in the threads that can be hard to remove. I don't think I'd want that on my choke tubes.

I don't want Loctite on my chokes either. Generally, I'll use locktite on rifle screws that can be heated with a lighter without damaging plastic or an oring.

I'd just try one wrap of teflon tape. Then try grease if that doesn't work. I don't like antisieze because it stains my clothes. Even stained my dog.

Keep in mind that a little loctite goes a long way. You really only need a dot of loctite in one spot on the threads. You don't need to loctite every square inch of thread surface.

Clear finger nail polish works great on small screws.I wouldn't use it on choke tubes. Anti-seize the tubes fire 10 shells then tighten again while still warm.

I have made snugging up the choke a part of my pre-shot routine (prior to loading of course.) It never occurred to me it was a problem.

I would buy fixed choke barrel and have it honed to light modified. Choke tubes are over-rated LMod is the only choke you need.
