I need a comfy, light, tuckable IWB, I wear it at maybe 3:30 because I have to sit down a lot. I have a High Noon Split Decision that does work, but it's kind of fiddly and has no body sheild. I just bought it because I was an early M&P compact adopter.

Personally I think the blade tech would be that much thinner because the clip is offset from the gun, adding no width.

BTW, do you think a 1.75 inch, 5-stitch black Instructor Belt screams 'gun'? Do you think a 3-stitch, 1.5inch Frequent Flyer would hold up a M&P compact, or should I get a 5-stitch?

I find leather is much more comfortable than kydex for IWB. Kydex tends to poke ya.

I just got an order to make a canted forward hip holster for a S&W M&P. I'll be starting on it in about a week.

I think it is all personal preference and you need to go with what feels good to you. Some like Kydex, some like vinyl, some like leather.

I personally like the way leather tends to form to your person and the gun as it is used and breaks in.

I would recommend the BladeTech. I'm very satisfied with the quality of their products, some of which we use on our holsters.

The only thing about the BT is that it looks like it was designed to accomodate a tac light, which I don't have or want. I don't want the holster to be wider on accound of this; I wish I could see a photo of an M&P version.

I don't believe the BT UCH is made to accomodate a light. The reason it looks wider (and might accomodate a light) is because of the placement of the belt loop apparatus. By placing it where they did actually makes the holster provide a thinner profile.

I don't think a 1.75" belt is necessary for CCW - especially with an IWB holster. I use a 1.5", 5 stitch frequent flyer belt that easily supports gun, mags, flashlight, etc.
