Christian Responsibility

It has nothing to do with religion, it has to do with the founding principles of this country.

Don't interject religion into this argument :banghead:

Bottom Line Up Front:
Finally, don’t wait for the crisis to come before you act. The day martial law is declared is not the time to begin doing something about it. That time is now, today, before it happens. Start by familiarizing yourself with passages of scripture such as those I’ve listed above; and always consider what the Bible says for itself, not how others would interpret it to their own advantage. Familiarize yourself with the Constitution, with relevant legislation and presidential executive orders, and with the history of martial law situations and military occupations both here in the U.S. and in other countries. Share what you learn with your friends and family. Consider joining up with groups like Ron Paul’s new Campaign for Liberty, where you can work for change alongside other concerned Americans. Never forget that an intimate knowledge of truth is the best defense against the lies, distortions and half-truths of the propagandists.

"Interjecting religion" can be a fine way to drive points home in certain circles. The author, while Christian, isn't forcing it on anyone; to the contrary, he cautions against those who would use religion as an authoritative base by which to strip others of liberty. What's the problem with that?

As I figured, HO88 doesn't have the vaguest idea what the article is about. It's not about religion, it's about a rogue government.

Its about how Christians have a supposedly religious responsibility, when you start mixing religion into any argument it will get twisted and end up failing miserably.

I prefer to stick to the constitution.........

I don't need to, religion has no place in this discussion.

I find it odd how religion provokes such anger in so many people. If you don't want to practice one, don't. But it isn't that way. It provokes a seething anger in some.

As for religeous threads here, they come up from time to time and are tolerated for the most part.

Hell, there's an active one right now on the first page of THR:

Oddly enough, I don't see that you've been over there saying that it has no place in the discussion.

And of all the varied forms of propaganda, religious propaganda is by far the most effective; for, it provides fallible men with the sanction of heaven, which must not be resisted nor even questioned
.

Start by familiarizing yourself with passages of scripture such as those I’ve listed above;

Beware those who would preach to you concerning how you should obey them as authorities over you, if they refuse to obey the authority over them.
.

LOL, if you read it close enough, you will realize it is so convoluted as to actually be warning the reader of exactly what it is, propaganda of an authority who is telling you how to behave.

Several people have been nice enough to explain why this doesn't belong here, so I guess I don't have to bother.
