Besides the obvious guns and ammo what are some unique gifts for shooters. What is that one gadget or gizmo for a shooter that noone really thinks that they need or wants until they use it and then they wonder how they ever lived without it?

Books by Cooper and others on tactics, history, etc.

Those are things that would make me happy anyway :)

A Boresnake is a great suggestion. I always want gift certificates from Cheaper Than Dirt, too.

body armor's always nice, Hoppes #9 in the gallon jug, cleaning patches (never have enough in the right sizes), paper targets of various sizes and types, Lasermax, Streamlight tactical flashlight, spare mags, night sights, and I second the suggestion for cheaper than dirt gift certificates.

How about a Kleen Bore magazine brush or two?

Inexpensive, and not something a shooter is likely to have, but a very handy tool indeed.

First thing that poped into my head was a bore sighter. It's not something everyone would buy for themselves but something that they might like to receive as a gift.

Chronograph or reloading equipment. I've never seen anyone that didn't enjoy having both.
