Besides the obvious guns and ammo what are some unique gifts for shooters. What is that one gadget or gizmo for a shooter that noone really thinks that they need or wants until they use it and then they wonder how they ever lived without it?

Bore Snake
Reloading stuff
Books by Cooper and others on tactics, history, etc.

Those are things that would make me happy anyway :)

body armor's always nice, Hoppes #9 in the gallon jug, cleaning patches (never have enough in the right sizes), paper targets of various sizes and types, Lasermax, Streamlight tactical flashlight, spare mags, night sights, and I second the suggestion for cheaper than dirt gift certificates.

reloading supplies (dies, powder, case cleaners, manuals, presses)
nice gun bags
gunsmith tools and screwdrivers
shooting bench/sled
targets
nice hearing protection
spotting scope
binoculars
range finder
scope
magazines
Chronograph

How about a Kleen Bore magazine brush or two?

Inexpensive, and not something a shooter is likely to have, but a very handy tool indeed.

it sounds to me like someone is trying to find a way around asking a parnter what they want for christmas so the list starts here
1. bullets
2. laser sighter
3. more bullets
4. cleaning supplies
5. even more bullets
6. clips (for bullets)
7. new guns (always nice)
8. bullets (see number seven if any questions)

Chronograph or reloading equipment. I've never seen anyone that didn't enjoy having both.
