I'm looking for any advice on purchasing a chronograph. At present I'm looking at two models, a ProChrono Digital and a Chrony Beta Master. I'm not limited to these two models, they just seem to be the two that keep coming up in conversation. Some of the reviews I've read are in favor of the ProChrono Digital, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeff

Well, the advantage to the Crony Beta Master is, you are not shooting at the electronic circuit boards & read-out.
And you don't have to run down-range to read it.

Both serious flaws in the ProChrono Digital in my openion.

With the Crony Beta Master the only thing that can get shot is the sky screen holders.
And the read-out is right there on the bench beside you.

That's NOT a trivial thing! It's also true for the PACT Pro model I use and love.

I have a ced, I setup on the tripod, the tripod fell over and the supporting arm for the screens broke. so ive never used it yet. imho it should be made a little sturdier

i've got a chrony and CED. shot both several times. :) they both work

edit: i mean, they both work after i got them fixed

Thanks for the input.
Are there any models you feel I should avoid at all cost or ones that you think are serious considerations over another?
