hi guys,

a friend of mine i met on a different forum has a custom knife site called circle p knives. he buys and consigns custom knives from different makers all over the world...several dozen makers are represented. a couple weeks ago he got scammed out of about $3,000 in knives and it really put him in a bind. me and paul havent had a chance to meet in person yet but the impression i get from him is that he is a genuinely nice guy....he always has kind things to say to makers that display their work.

here is a quote from his site....

"When I decided to sell custom knives I noticed something. Only the top 5 to 10 percent of custom knife makers out there were getting represented by dealers/purveyors. All of the others who do excellent work, just not lucky enough to have a dealer to represent them, for the most part had to go it on their own. That gave me an idea, which I have tried to pass onto those makers. I represent the smaller, lesser known makers, one's whose work are amazing, just not being seen by many people."

...what this means is you can find some bargains there from makers whos work may be in high demand a few years from now.

have a look around his site and let him know if there is anything you are interested in.

thanks :)

It's a good idea - I contacted a dealer about selling my stuff and he wasn't interested to say the least. Seems like the only makers they want is the ones they have to get in line for - and they can't get that much from them. I don't know if down the road I'll need this or not but I appreciate that he does it.

i looked through it and i see some really good looking pieces. I just wish he allowed for more payment options :(. Perhaps after he recovers some of his losses he will open up a little? I really hope he decides to keep his site up, i am going to keep it book marked for a while. Cheers!
