Hello peeps! I saw this 1911 2 days ago in one of the shop and I did some research about it and i decided "I want" one so went to the shop and tried it , the trigger on this thing is a lot better than a springfield that cost almost 2x what the sticker price is, I shot 50 rounds and never had any problems that i read about, evry thing feed fine..anyway here it is with my SR9c too..

I've always like that officer size. I'd like to find one that size in 9mm though. I've never even shot an officer frame, but I would imagine it would have a noticeably more amount of recoil.

I'll have to look into those Citadels a little. It looks pretty sharp!

My wife carries a High Standard compact 1911 by Armscor.
She loves it and shoots it with no recoil issues whatsoever.
Congrats on the smart purchase.

I had a High Standard Crusader Compact which is the officer 1911 as well. It was a flawless pistol and was very accurate for having such a short barrel. I think I like the looks of the Citadel a little more, probably the wider cocking serations that does it for me.
I normally do not like rubber grips, esspecially on 1911's. But the officers frame was the exception to the rule, and I thought that the finger groove Houge's worked great for tameing +P recoil in that model. The rubber does not snag on clothes too bad for CC, I think cause my hand covers the whole grip when drawing!

Congrats on a great pistol, good luck!

I just bought the same gun. Can't wait to try it out. I'm really impressed with how tight the fit is on this little gun. The finish seems to me a lot better than on the RIA models. I think I'm going to like this thing a lot. I have plans to make it my new carry gun.
