Thanks, always trying to get people to think outside the box. It is very fun to toss this issue to an anti-gunner who hates the new Arizona law, it leaves them sputtering and foaming at the mouth.

Illegal definitions

Illegal only means bad when it applies to black, high-capacity military-style firearms and all handguns.

When we are talking about a foreign national who sneaks into this country, gets welfare assistance and sends half of it back to South America, it's perfectly OK because that's the bleeding heart definition of illegal...

Kinda like the California school that kicked out kids for wearing American flag themed clothing on May 5.

All of this was intended and patiently strived for, generations ago, starting before WWII, by groups such as the so called 'Frankfurt School'.


It is insanity, and, it took a long time of indoctrination and agendas implimented through publicschools/media/entertainment continuum, to arrive at.


Yes, many people think 'Illegal Alien' means someone is from somewhere else merely as an delicate incidental, who for being here at all, instantly, legally, morally, is somehow in full posession of all such Civil Rights as any other Citizen is...without having to be a Citizen.


And or, that it is morally impolite to even notice...or to 'profile' anyone conspicuously not belonging in any manner whatever, so long as they appear to be a 'minority' of some sort.

If one is white, any little individuality becomes suspect, of course...and as for Flying an american Flag, this is very disturbing to people now, suggesting some sort of radical affiliation.

And yes, I heard a well educated higher ranking officer say the same thing, "making it a crime to be illegal" with a straight face...and his ears blocked up to any reply.

Don't forget about "sniper rifles", they hate those too (http://www.vpc.org/graphics/snipcov2.pdf). They don't think hunters should shoot anything other than the 30-30, and only at ranges less than 200 yards. Apparently they hate anything that's capable of hitting a man size target at over 300 yards, regardless of whether it's bolt action or semi-auto.

I think they're more worried about angling themselves for the Mexican vote than for gun owner's votes. I'm sure they're planning on an amnesty bill, as it might win them a huge block of voters for the foreseeable future.

As much as I fully agree with the article and the posts in this thread, I don't see this surviving for long at THR. Its unfortunate... as I believe that this is very much gun related.

It is certainly Gun related, when Gun Crimes are not clearly appended to the demmographic to which they belong, and, when statistics are bent or blurred to favor insular and disingenuous argument.

Personally, I like people of all sorts and provenances...and, because I like people, and wish them well all round, I also like Rule of Law, and, for the Laws to be both sensible, unoffending to one's intelligence and honesty, and, for them to be taken earnestly by all concerned.

Arizona appears to be setting a good example in their Gun Laws, and, in these matters also.


Thank you Arizona, and, may the example prove both popular, and, demanded by the Citizens of other States.
