Anyone using Clays or Universal with 124 grn. FMJ in their 9mm's? Likes dislikes? I ask as I have a bunch of either on hand ---Thanks for the replys

Have used both plus Unique, Red Dot, and Clay Dot with various 124 bullets, all with good results. I do NOT load for max loads, I prefer the better accuracy from mid range loads

They are both good powders and clean. Clays for low velocity target ammo, and Universal for mid velocity loads.

I have used Universal in my 124 Gr HP loads for 9mm. I used a light load for it and had a decent grouping at about 7-10 yards. I would use it again and have -made some again to re-test them to see how well I can get it to group again.

I liked it and if all works out well, Would not hesitate to make some plinking/ target loads with it.

I use Universal Clays with very good results. Works best mid to max load range. As suggested above I'd use the Clays for low velocity plinking loads and Universal for the hotter stuff. Both should do you well, good luck.

For low velocity as mentioned above, I've had very good results with Clays.

What I have is Universal Clay's formula on the can. Loaded about 1,000 9mm so far with this powder. Consistently measures well. Great for low recoil, low-mid range 1,000-1,100 fpm.
