Since carbon residue is a beast to clean off, and since lead-away cloths eat bluing, how do you guys get caked on carbon and lead off of a blued revolver?
I have used Hoppes and never had trouble with the bluing. I did have some issues with CLP and blued firearms but never parkerized. Otherwise cleaning your revolver is tricky as the carbon get plastered on the sides of it every time its fired its important to keep up with the cleaning after ever range session. Dont go over 100 rounds during range sessions. I would use Hoppes but thats all I have ever used
