I have ask some questions before and you guys have helped vary much. Thank you I have another question. I am cleaning brass in a vibrator and the outside looks vary good but how do I get the inside clean ? I am using corn media Thanks. :banghead:

WHY? Don't worry about it! The inside will take care of itself. The carbon you see will not affect your loads, go ahead, load it.

Now somebody's going to jump on me for saying that, claiming the carbon will "build up" restricting case capacity. I say BS on that. Not with smokeless powder. Your tumbler media DOES take some of it out while in the tumbler, what's left is simply a stain.

Yep!
With a vibratory cleaner, the media gets packed inside, and there is nothing you can do about it.
It won't hurt a thing.

The old style rotating tumblers did a much better job of cleaning the inside & outside. But they cost a lot more, and took a lot longer.

Depending upon your tumbler, how it is loaded, time run on a batch, the inside of most cases will clean up nicely but will not shine like the outside! I run several Dillon CV2001's and a Lyman Turbo Magnum and I have found that overloading will decrease efficiency alot! Adding a compound to your media will help as well. I have tried all of the commercial polishes and stuck with Berry's Brass bright as it is most economical for polishing thousands of pounds of brass /month! Flitz is the best but OUCH! Its pricey!

Thanks I just wanted it too look like new plus it is easy to check the powder when I load. Thanks

I have been known to run pistol cases over a bore brush in a drill as I throw them in the tumbler.

But that's getting a little OCD, even for me!

Snuffy...No I won't...:neener:

Hardatwork...When you get them loaded no one will be able to see the inside...Load'em before some sees the inside...:D

"...the carbon will "build up" restricting case capacity..." They must have seen that on the Internet.
Don't worry about the inside. You're going to light a very hot fire in it. That'll clean it out.

+1 on the "don't worry about it, it's not hurting anything"

you could get a bottle brush and some flitz and maybe shine them up with a bottle brush on your electric drill. It would take some time, but you'd have new-looking inside and out cases, if you were...say trying to impress your buddies or something.

I rarely even tumble my pistol cases on the outside. I prefer my ugly loads, I know they're cheaper.
