As more and more of the gun mags are now available digitally, I have been buying the whole things digitally and tossing the paper.

The interesting thing is how repetitive they are. I am working back around 2002 to 1998 (they are not that sorted) and it is fun to see old Colt ads, but everything is LDA or SFS in the handguns. Over and over I see that being pushed. I also noted that I only save about 1 issue in say 30 that actually has an article that I value enough to keep the paper. Usually it is about a gun I own, or a reloading article on a caliber I do.

I will scan the articles for the mags I don't have bought yet and toss the paper.

I have about 6 more feet worth of mags to go through. I will be interested to see if the trends hold back into the 80's and late 70's.

Oh and yes, they are all getting recycled.

Any one else do a sort like this and find any interesting trends?
