Cleaning stainless steel revolvers

The lead away cloth is abrasive. I love the lead away patches for your bore, not only do they remove lead but it seems to polish the rough spots in the bore. After cleaning a barrel 5 or 6 times with the patches those little smears of lead quit showing up.

I'm solidly in the "good enough" camp of gun cleaning. Those rings don't bother me at all.

As long as function is unimpaired, accuracy is not diminished, and rust is held at bay, my guns are clean enough.

Sanitation is for food prep, not firearms.

Same here, wipe them down to get them "clean" and rub with a slightly oily rag before putting them away. A "Rig Rag" is good for this. Occasionally scrub out the chambers etc.

I little carbon stain on the cylinder face doesn't bother me at all. :)
+1 I used to use lead away to clean the cylinder, but it just gets carbon the next range trip, so I just wipe with oil rag, clp, some hoppes in chambers and that's it.

Never use Naval Jelly. I found rust on the surface of two "stainless" guns. Naval Jelly marred the finish on NAA mini revolver.
