Where the Army puts me
I wrote other posts on this AR, I finally got the chance to take a few more pictures and tell you a little more about it and the set up.

This is my 2nd AR that came with Magpul MOE furniture and BUIS, which IMO, is the best deal on the market. MOE is a far step up from the average car stock, M16/M4 grip and handguards. It's also far less expensive than quad rails and other aftermarket stocks and grips. Is it the best? No, but its a good deal. I swap the standard MOE pistol grip for a MOE+ and changed the fore grip to an AFG2 and add a surefire 200 pistol light using MOE Rails.

My CMMG MK4 has a Cold Hammer Forged, 1:7twist FN barrel, a mid-length gas system and F marked front sight which are the standard among my riles. The Receivers are Hard Anodized, Teflon Coated, Forged 7075 T6 Aluminum with a mil-spec buffer tube.

Internal parts, the trigger is amazing for what it is, it's your standard USGI trigger but with an outstanding polish job and good springs. When others shoot my rifle the trigger surprises and impresses them the most. I changed out the standard carbine buffer for a Spike's T2. The bolt and BCG are hard anodized and telfon coated, I'm not a big fan of the teflon coating on the BCG other than that it is your standard M16 FA BCG.

After a few tries I found the Vtac sling fits my needs the best. I also have used this knock off "Aimpoint" sight on other guns, it work very well even for a $60 sight. When I'm not using the red dot I have a redfield 3x9 revolution scope mounted in a cantilever type scope mount. Both swap off and on and hold their zeros.

Shooting: This rifle is probably in my top 3 of best shooting ARs. I'm sure the trigger, mid length gas system, buffer and barrel contribute to this. This rifle is super controllable, prodictable and the rounds go where you want them. Using PMC 55gr FMJBT for training and plinking it groups a little bit over MOA at 100yds or more. Using M855 it groups alot better, sub MOA most of the time. Federal Gold Metal Match 77gr shoot the best at longer ranges, I haven't shot paper with these yet so I don't know how they group.

Future plans: BCM BCG, BCM charging handle, Vtac 13" or Troy Alpha rail with Magpul front sight, UBR stock (maybe), AAC suppressor, and thinking about a battle comp.

I believe they are in Fayette brother, I know they take trades so I'm sure they have a sales shop there give them a ring.
You're right, don't know why I was thinking Fulton. Still, only a few hours away. I may have to take a trip in the next few weeks.

What barrel steel is used?

Chrome Moly Vanadium Steel, the CHF barrels are made by FN.

Let me rephase this, FN which is America's top producer for CHF barrels and where most companies get their CHF barrels. FN makes barrels from Chrome Moly Vanadium Steel which is the same used by M249s, M240s which is why its called machine gun steel. CMMG used FN barrels before and from my understanding still do. The newer rifles have been printed to say CMMG CHF HP MPC 5.56X45mm 1:7. When I tried to get my Rifle from CMMG they were out of the CHF barrels so I found a wholesaler who had some in stock form an order that was a year old. My Rifle has a 4 digit SN number. CMMG's website says their current barrels are 4150 steel.

About $1204 give or take. Probably could of saved myself some if I would have used my parts from other rifles but I'm a hoarder and I like new stuff.
