LATEST SALES NEWS:
GARAND WRITING STICKS NOW AVAILABLE. The CMP Garand Writing Sticks are once
again available in limited quantities. These pencils are manufactured from
USGI walnut Garand stocks that were broken beyond repair. Each writing stick
is laser engraved with a cartouche and CMP logo and packaged in a walnut
presentation box. $44.95 each. See item 545 on the CMP ESTORE at

RUSTY PINIONS. Recently there have been a few reports of surface rust on
rear sight elevating pinions and on the adjustment notches on the receiver.
This is just a reminder to check and properly clean these areas. Many of the
rifles we have received were coated in heavy preservative and cosmoline.
This preservative is removed using hot water. Even though the areas are
dried and a light coat of oil is applied after cleaning, rust may still
form. We recommend that everyone who has purchased Garands from the CMP
recently check these areas and clean and preserve as necessary.
ORDERS BEING ACCEPTED FOR WINCHESTER M1 GARAND RIFLES. We have completed
inspection & repair of the Winchester Garands that were returned from
Greece. These rifles are now available for sale and we are accepting orders
on a first come first served basis. Quantities are limited and we expect
these rifles to sell out quickly. These rifles have Winchester receivers,
but most of the other parts were not manufactured by Winchester. These
rifles do not have Winchester barrels and are true mix-masters. Purchasers
can expect finish to be worn and wood to be a combination of Walnut, Birch,
and European Beech. Wood shows the character expected for its age: dings,
dents, and gouges. These rifles have been test fired for function.

worn and wood to be a combination of Walnut and Birch. Wood shows the
character expected for its age: dings, dents, and gouges. These rifles have
been test fired for function. There are only 55 of these rifles available
and we expect them to sell out in the first two weeks. Please see
