Does anyone have any experience with these such as the Saf-T-Unloader? I had to cut my range trips short on several occasions with a stuck ball in my 50 cal T/C New Englander. I end up using a ball puller on the cleaning rod. The ball is usually so tight I have to take the barrel off, dump/wet the charge, anchor the barrel in a vise, and then hit the rod and ball out with a hammer.

Obviously this is something that can't be done at the range and it's frustrating. I'll buy a CO2 unloader and keep it in my ammo box if I know it will be effective. Thanks in advance for your comments.

I have used these a lot. Have blown everything out from 32 to 58 balls loaded
without powder. They work GREAT!! Be sure and get the Flintlock adapter as
it's good to put in the nipple on a revolver to blow the ball out.

Make sure it is still pointed in a safe direction. I've used one on a T/C inline with 28gm CO2 cylinders and "accidentally" chronographed a 250gr sabot at 330fps! :what: I wouldn't want to be down range of that.

I've seen them in stores but always thought they were only for modern guns. I'll have to get one and try it out

I've been fortunate to have always been able to clear dry balls and misfires by placing some powder under the nipple.
It doesn't take much powder to expell the patched ball as long as the small primer charge ignites.
