Cold Steel Pal Push Knives

I have been looking on-line at the Cold Steel Urban Pal and Mini-Pal push knives. Its hard to get a feel for their actual size, but they seem very small. Seems like an interesting little knife.

Anybody carry one? Any innovative ways to carry them?

They are very small. The blade is smaller than an average broadhead for bowhunting.

No, but if you want a good push dagger get a Safekeeper. I wear one on my weakside boot everyday. Onion Field insurance.

I carried a Cold Steel push dagger inside my left boot for about seven years. I don't see the exact one that I had in their current inventory, but they make one similar that is double edged (mine was single edge). I think is is a very practical last ditch weapon. Easy and comfortable to carry and conceal. However I don't think it is the way to go unless you wear boots. I guess, you could conceal a small gun just as easily, but I worked at a job where guns were forbidden. Knives were allowed, but were frowned upon if large and obviously designed with self defense in mind. Now that I think about it, I wouldn't be opposed to getting and carrying another one. A couple weeks ago, I looked at their Tanto line-up but didn't really see anything that looked small enough to put in your boot, but I wasn't looking at them in person. That would be a little easier for me to justify; it doesn't look as mean. I might be able to get away with carrying a fixed bladed knife on my belt as long as it wasn't very big, but I don't want to endure the endless questions and comments about it.

Had a bad dream the other night. I have lots. It ended when I pulled my SK from my boot and used it to finish a fight I was losing. How cool is it when you revert to your training in your sleep?

Do you ever have a hard time killing someone in your dreams? I have dreams wear I cant squeeze the trigger on my Revolver or guys just step aside from my knife! I just cant finish them off in my dream!

Had and used the Mini Pal for years. Used it for small tasks, and saved my larger blade for defense.

The only dream I can recall where I was armed- and was having a nightmare, I was "equipped" with a Sigma. Seriously.

Not sure if I got a bad one, but I used to carry a Mini - Pal as a necker until the glue holding the handle on came un-stuck, but it lasted at least a year in all sorts of weather and was extremely handy. Good stuff and inexpensive.

I bought a whole pile of the Cold Steel keychain knives for a couple of dollars each at a gunshow once. Some were the little push knives, others were little spear-point fixed blades. They were all so cheap because they had the day-glo pink and green handles, rather than the more gunshow-friendly taktikewl black. From the box, they were very sharp. However, the goofy serration pattern Cold Steel uses is more of a pain in the posterior to sharpen than it needs to be.
I don't have a single one left. I gave them all away as gifts to non-knife people, mainly women, to use as one would use a more conventional pocket knife. Especially when they have paid big bucks for manicures, women hate doing anything that might break off one of those long, lovely nails. The little fixed blades didn't have that risk.
They are okay knives. If they have a good price on them, buy several. Give some away, use the rest till they break.
