Greeting's Fess-

That's quite a nice collection there, my friend. My current
collection isn't anywhere near that complete; but I'm on
track to add a few more (like I haven't already had most
of them) soon!:uhoh: I may have to get a quickie divorce
to acheive my goal; as my wife says "NO MORE GUNS".
Stay tuned for the next chapter~ ENJOY!:)

Best Wishes,

What's a "kit gun"?
As I seem to very vaguely recall, S&W offered revolvers in .22 & maybe .32 as a sort of campers/hikers/trail gun, not as a bag of parts to put together.

Like the old song says "Pack your troubles in your old KIT BAG, and smile, smile, smile...."

Used to have a S&W .22 Kit gun, gave to oldest son about 10 years ago. He now is using it to teach his daughters to shoot (14,12,9)

KIT GUN

I will say a "kit gun" is a gun that will fill a variety of rolls, Small game, Self defence, plinking, survival. Caliber from 22 to 38, something you would pack in your kit bag and not worry about. Something small, fairly accurate, lightweight, dependable and easy to use.

My Mod 60 is at what I think is the top end of the size range for a kit gun.

ARs are not mouse guns but poodleshooters.

Mouse gun is something very small for when your "uniform of the day" is a jock strap and shower shoes and a light coat of oil
:D

I've always thought of my Glock 23 as my kit gun; lightweight, of adequate power (40S&W), rugged and good for most scenarios. To me, it is the ideal hiking/outdoors gun and with an extra mag of ammo I've got 26 rounds readily available. :D Mike

As long as I can use my model 29-8 Mountain Gun as both the combat and the target/range revolver, then I've got all your categories covered. Does that mean I don't ever have to buy another handgun?:uhoh: Don't tell my wife!!:what:
