Do you have any handguns that you haven't shot in a long time? I mean good solid performers that are just sitting in the safe. I know I have a long list of handguns I haven't fired in a coon's age:

Pistols:
Ruger MKII Government 22
Ruger 22/45 22
Ruger P85 MKII
Ruger P90
Ruger P97
4 BHPs ( MKII, MKIII 9mm, MKIII 9mm, MKIII 40 S&W)
Star BM
Kahrs (1 E9, 1 K9, 2 K40s)
Browning BDM
etc.

Revolvers:
Ruger BlackHawk 45 Colt
S&W M34 22
S&W M37 38 Special
S&W M13 357 Mag
S&W M66 357 Mag
S&W M29-3 44 Mag

I think it is time for me to take some of these to the range!

Regards,

Richard ;D

Unfortunately, I've got quite a few I haven't shot in years and years. I find that I've got half a dozen or so that are favorites, and those are the ones that get to go to the range.

I've got a few that I shoot every couple of years, when the mood strikes me.

Then there are the unfortunates. They just never seem to make it out of the safe.

I'm in no hurry, but the day's approaching when I'll start liquidating the hoard. I'm having a harder and harder time justifying to myself hanging on to stuff I just don't use.

I do have a couple of guns I don't fire that much. Part of it is because I have three handguns whose value is largely sentimental, then I have one more which is a duplicate of another gun I shoot all the time. I've made sure that they work just fine, but after that they just kind of sit in there.

And I admit I shoot my carry gun with far more frequency than I do anything else.

Yep, I'm guilty of not gett'in 'em all too the range very often; then again, there
is some I don't intend to shoot:uhoh: like my 2x (old model 1947-1972) Colt Dick
Specials~! :D And, my 2" bbl S&W 30-1, in .32 S&W Long.

Ooops~! I forgot one, my favorite "always gun"; the legendary
Seecamp LWS-32, as this is not a target gun. Its more of a
"in your face" nostril type firearm, meant too bring the fight
too a halt.

I've plenty. Most of my "collecting" is guns that are "small" for their caliber. After playing with them initially they become safe queens except for the select couple that end up being carried. These little things are neat engineering but not a whole lot of fun at the range after the initial novelity wears off.

Amoung full size guns my pair of Glocks (17 & 21) and other DA/SA guns (SIG P220 & P226, Beretta 92, S&W 669) rarely get out as I learned I don't like Glocks or DA/SA operation.

S&W 64-3 3" that I haven't shot in ages, which means it's probably going to get sold soon.

jmm

My CZ-70 was neglected for at least a year or so, but I just took it out a couple weeks ago.

Hmm come to think of it, I haven't fired my CZ-52s in a long while. I think I'll one out tomorrow and make some noise with it! :)

Let's see, a M10 I hardly ever shoot anymore. There's my .357 Blackhawk I've not shot in a long time. I have an old Erma LA.22, a toggle bolt Luger style .22 rimfire that hangs in the rack. It shoots, but the safety's broke on it. There's a pump up Benjamin .22 pellet pistol and a cheap crossman revolver CO2 powered .177 I haven't shot in years, if that counts. All the rest of 'em I've shot at least in the last year.

I'll never sell another gun, don't think, but some of 'em I just prefer shooting. Nothing against that model 10, for instance, but my Taurus 66 has a very nice trigger and also handles magnums. I shoot it a lot. The .357 blackhawk is a GREAT outdoor gun, but I have one in .45 now. But, those two guns are way too good to get rid of and the model 10 was my grandpa's.

Yes, many.
I have more guns than there is time to shoot them, and I'm retired.
But I still keep buying more. Just can't pass up a "good buy" or a gun that I just have to have.:)

As an FYI to you guys, there was a thread in another Forum a few weeks ago, where a couple of guys were arrested in Florida while breaking into a house. They told the police that the reason they picked that specific house was the guy had listed his guns on a shooting forum, and they tracked down his address.

Just a note to be cautious of what you post.
