Collectors/Anybody... Please help. What are these???

My father-in-law has recently come across several old guns a couple rifles and shotguns we have no idea what they they are or how to find anything out about these.
(posting in both rifle and shotgun forums...sorry)

Its a hammer lock ? 20 gauge side by side double barrel. All I can read on the side is a worn incription that reads --escent FireArms Co- Norwich, Con-- USA. It's very tight and in good working order. No sn or anything else written on it, some rust near the end of the barrel but it'll clean up nice. Any body have any info about this? possible $?

The rifle I know even less about but it has a sn 8157 stamped on it. Then a crown over R, star C, something that looks like a dart, then FL8u.1.L. Then a circle with a crown, in the circle are the letters BLG, could be ELG.
Its a breech loader (pic below) I have no idea what the chamber is... Any info or a way to identify it would be greatly apreciated.

I'm not too knowledgeable, but the shotgun could be a Crescent, and the rifle has Belgian proofs.

Value is very moderate, even in top condition. In working condition, most go for $75 or so if a buyer can be found. Some have Damascus barrels and I strongly recommend they not be fired. Yours looks like the hammer does not strike the firing pin correctly, so something is wrong.

The rifle is an inexpensive Belgian single shot, sometimes called a Flobert rifle, although a true Flobert has no breechblock, only a heavy hammer to contain the pressure of the little .22's. The guns were intended for low pressure .22 short cartridges loaded with a few grains of black powder or sometimes only the primer. They should not be fired with any modern .22 Short ammo, though some folks fire them with BB caps. There is some collector interest, and I have seen them sell for $100 or so, in very good condition. Mostly, they won't bring that much as they are usually shot and worn out.

thanks everybody, just didn't know where to start. I keep finding more and more guns of all sorts, but for the most part I can find out about those with a google search.
