What groups are there for Grass Roots activity in Colorado? How do you decide which group to join. I'm only familiar with two groups.

Colorado State Shooting Association
Rocky Mountain Gun Owners

The CSSA seems to be very active and effective as well.

What do you say?

If I could find a job, I'd join both.
CSSA is organized, slick, and NRA affilliated.
RMGO has a more aggressive attitude, although this sometimes causes the best to become the enemy of the good.
Contact labgrade for info on the Colorado Tyranny Response Team, a fun-loving bunch who are always ready to take up the antis invitations to come to their rallys.

I'd encourage you to join RMGO & explain to CSSA that you'd feel strange giving them cash to compromise yoru rights.

CSSA is the state affiliate of the NRA & like their national comrade they often take a much more aggressive stance toward their own benefit than one that would force them to make a stand for yoru rights.

As an example the CSSA backed last year's Shall Issue CCW law. This despite the law being better than the old law in only two ways, the rest the new law was actually just as restrictive if not moreso, & them turning up their nose at a Vermont style bill because it wouldn't have benefited them personally.

Here's an analysis of the 3 options for CCW we had last year;
the old may issue law, the proposed but tabled vermont-style bill & the shall issue CCW bill

It's not that I think RMGO can do no wrong, but they're more apt to stand up for your Rights than for their political gain.
