My girlfriend has been hinting at wanting to buy a handgun soon after I took her out and let her shoot a few of mine, then she took a professional course, and thinks she is ready for her own.

She likes the subcompact size, but not the micro size. I let her fondle and shoot my 9mms and .40s and she liked the size, feel, and features of the Taurus G2c the best. She especially liked the safety and $200 price.

I mentioned to her that I think they come in other colors and sure enough, they have them in her two favorite colors; purple and Tiffany blue.

Showed her pics and she went nuts. Wants one.

But, to be thorough, are there any other semi-auto 9mms with a safety, sub-compact size, that come in purple or teal?

Yes, it is a bass ackwards way of choosing a pistol, but she likes what she likes and is pretty, so whatever...

I know glock had "robin egg" or something like that. Was teal blue

The ruger lcp has a "lady lilac" and a pink and a teal version

Some distributors cerakote and market various guns new but already coated . a LGS by me - Marengo guns- sells various guns in various colors and their prices are very good. I know this because my buddy's girlfriend got an all purple g43 there. She hates shooting that gun but likes showing it off, it's her bbq gun.
Goodluck

Sccy CPX-1 has a safety and comes in a rainbow of colors. It probably isn’t a better choice than the G2C, though.

I would say you've got your answer right there. Go with the Taurus G2c; win/win for everybody all the way around!

Ruger LC9 (original model) - It's called the "Lady Lilac".

I purchased this $12.00 Pachmayer sleeve for it,,,
The sleeve helps tame the recoil a good bit.

The other nice thing about this original model (not the striker fired later version),,,
Is that Twisted Industries makes a .22 LR adapter for it,,,
I bought the adapter and it works like a charm.

This adapter does not work with the LC9s or the Ruger EC9.

Hope this helps,,,

Why heck. For $200 (and I have heard $179) I would just get her one of each. You will be her hero.

I just bought a used Taurus TCP that is a tan and brown color and while I normally just like all black this gun is growing on me. I think it looks cool.

I find myself strangely attracted to guns with a blued slide and a FDE frame. Don't ask me why...I just do!

OK I had to go get my TCP out of the safe because I couldn't really remember what color it is.:uhoh: This gun has a black frame with a dark tan, I guess what you are calling FDE (flat dark earth?) slide. I don't mind this color combo but I have never liked the silver slide and black frame. I sold my first SW9VE and Kel-Tec P32 because they were silver and black. In hind sight I should have just spray painted them flat black and went on.

You know I use to like a blued slide on top of a silver colored frame. Still do in fact but now I also like the opposite as well: a silvery slide on top of black frame. Another one of those things were I care more about the gun itself than how it looks to me initially when I get it.
