Went to the Summit County, Ohio gun show this past weekend. Always looking for older Colt Government Models (Series 70), revolvers or S&W revolvers. I came upon a guy selling a pretty clean Colt 22 LR conversion kit, his asking price was $500 which actually is not a bad price. I passed on the off chance I might see a gun I wanted. Never went back and finally left the show. Regretted not buying it as I don't see them often.
Today I went to visit my local gun shop. Great guy and a good friend owns it. Looked around at new items taken in and started conversation with the owner. Just general gun BS and I mentioned the conversion kit I passed on. He motions me over to the display cases and points, I see nothing but some revolvers. Call me blind as behind the revolvers was a Colt 22 LR conversion kit. I never saw the thing but it was, in my defense, behind lower end stuff.
It was like new in box, better than what I saw. It was also on consignment with a $500 asking price out the door so I asked if the owner would go lower (hey nothing to lose right). I walked out with the thing for $450 which I was real happy with.

Think of the odds on this thing? It was meant to be I guess.
