Hey revolver fans - I would like to determine the approximate value (perhaps a range) for my 1st Generation Colt Detective Special. Based on the serial number I believe the gun dates to 1934. Mechanically it seems to be in great condition. I have only fired it one time and it ran perfectly and was incredibly accurate. The finish as you can see from the picture is clearly worn in some places from holstering. All opinions are appreciated. I plan to list this one on THR and want to make sure I ask a fair price for buyer and seller.

I will add that part of the reason I am looking for input on this is that I have never seen one like this for sale before locally. The first one I found I bought and it was by chance.

The gun has post war stocks on it

That takes away a little in value. Just a ballpark but here goes: $550 retail in a store, $475 outright sale to a private party or you should be able to find a dealer that would pay you $375 cash.
