Whooowheee!
I just bought myself a beautiful 4" blued Colt Diamondback .38 special. I've wanted one for quite some time, but haven't been able to find one in excellent condition for the price I wanted to pay.
Well, a local gunsmith told me about an older gentleman who was selling an excellent condition Diamondback for $500. I met the gentleman this morning, and after carefully examining the Diamondback the only flaw I could find was a very, very tiny amount of bluing wear around the muzzle, and a few very small scratches on the upper left side of the factory grips. I gladly gave him the $500 for the Colt.
Then this gentleman showed me two absolutely beautiful Pythons. One was a 6" bright stainless model, and the other was a gorgeous 4" bright nickle model, both looked 99%. He wanted $1100 for the 6", and a $1000 for the 4". I told him that unfortunately I didn't have the cash right now for another revolver (Besides the Diamondback, I had already picked-up a 5" M60 S&W on friday). He told me he was going up north until september and if I still wanted one of the Pythons, we could do business when he returned. I sure wouldn't mind that 4" nickle Python.
Buying that Diamondback, and seeing those Pythons made me more excited than Michael Jackson at a boy scout jamboree, more excited than Rosie O'Donnell at a Dairy Queen grand opening, more excited than Michael Moore at Lenin's tomb, more excited than.....sorry, I'll stop, you'll get the picture.
