I was at the Colt Collector’s Association gunshow in Louisville last weekend, and saw my first Colt Magnum Carry. Held it in my hands in fact, and it was a multi-caliber version, built by the same people who built the Medusa revolver. It could fire and extract 9mm, .38 Special, .357 Magnum, etc.
It was Mr. Phillips of that Medusa firm that was showing this 1-of-2 ever built handgun. He told me it was Colt’s that commissioned it, for a possible run of a Magnum Carry version to be called the “Survivor”. But it turned out that name was taken, and Colt’s lost interest. For very many thousands of dollars, it could have been mine.

Who knew finding a Magnum Carry would be expensive, but gee…..
