I just purchased a used Colt Mustang 380 SS pocketlite but didn't get the owners manuel. Gun hasn't been cleaned and was wondering where I could get the cleaning/disassembley instructions(owners manuel). Are they online somewhere? Colt website didn't have one.

Call colt and ask for one . they have them. If you decide to field strip and flip the ejector. Stop what you are doing Ask here or else where how to reset. This is why you need a manual to show how to do it. Everybody has done it at least once. But first time need manual of instruction or help from some one. To be safe. These are great little pistols though parts are getting a bit scarce. I limit mine to a 100-150 rounds a year It always been flawless and as a pocket pistol see no reason for 2 or 300 round target pratice sessions A couple mags a mo or a box now and then . Get wolff 12lb single recoil spring. They also have metal guide rod. (plastic factory works fine) Thet have a + mag spring also. I bought the whole spring set and replaced what I belived need. Careful with safety with slide off can push safety up and spring and other parts behind safety will go in orbit. You may not find at home or after market. No try to scare you just a warning all has been do by ... :D

+1 on calling Colt. Their policy (like a lot of gun manufacturers) is to provide copies of owners manuals at no cost. If they don't have the exact manual for your pistol, they'll send a manual for a near clone. I expect they will have the Mustang, but if not you might get a manual for a Mustang II Plus or a Government .380 -- both of which are nearly the same functionally and mechanically.

Well... the one that came with mom's covers the whole line...

And I would've prefered NOT to pay the price I did to get this pistol: inherited it when mom passed... :(

It's a nice lil' gun. Wouldn't want to use it as a primary, by any stretch. But it make a heck of a backup...
