Colt new agent question

I'm looking at brand new colt new agent .45 but was wondering if this particular gun is past the recall colt had on this and a couple of other models a few years back.

I looked at the serial number range of effected guns on colts website. The new agents whose serial numbers start with "GTO1001 to GTO4505". I've tried calling colt for two days to no avail,the new agent I'm looking at has a serial number that begins with GTO99xx does this mean this gun is past the recalled guns and doesn't need the upgrades?

Thanks for any help with this as I like the gun but don't want to have to send it back if I buy it.

It would appear that pistols with serial numbers between 1 and 4,505 are subject to the recall, but not those thereafter.

9,9xx is thereafter.

Even if you have to send it back, it's on their dime....

Yup, and the turnaround is very quick.

They send a box, you send it in, and it comes back to you a week later (or less).

I have one but my SN starts with ST versus GT, the numbers are within the range specified for recall, How can I check? Is there a special phone number? Or is mine out of the range for the recall?

Does anyone know what the recall is about? I have a TALO New Agent but I will have to wait until I get home tonight to check the serial number.

The recall is about the recoil spring assembly and the thumb safety on the new agent.

Update: Just checked the serial number and is not in the range for the recall.
