Does anyone here - Old Fuff?- know for SURE when Colt began using wooden grips and rounded cylinder releases on New Service revolvers? I think both were in place sometime in the 1920's, but need the exact dates, please.
An author who sets her novels in 1920 has a character who is using what is probably a New Service from the description, and I am asked to give her some gun help. Thought I'd add some minor details, if available.
