This is a nib 1949 Colt Police Positive Special(3rd issue) .32 caliber which came with mint box etc. and I acquired this because of the fact that classic .32 caliber revolvers are hard to find especially in mint condition and being unfired...thus I couldn't pass up this gem. Following are a few photos to share with .32 caliber enthusiasts:

Beautiful. Is that a .32 Long or a .32-20?

It's .32 NP which is virtually the same as S&W long...except colt just designed more of a flatter tipped bullet better suited to police work. These two cartridges are exactly the same but Colt just renamed the S&W long .32(New Police) to coincide with their New Police .32 revolver offering.
